The idea behind the story is good - it starts off with the girl imagining what it would be like to have 100 mummies and all the good things and then eventually starts to think that it's not such a good idea and decides she is happy to just have the two she has. however the illustrations are really a bit strange and I didn't like them much.

This book is excellent and I would highly recommend buying it. I wish I had a pound for every time my son's asked me to read it as I could give up work immediately! The illustrations are bold and colourful yet very detailed so there's always something interesting for my son to point at and for us to talk about...oh and the girl in the story just happens to have two mummies.

Our daughter loves this book, the bright colourful pictures gives her plenty to look at as we read the story to her. The pages are quite sturdy too considering its not a hard board book.
The story is really good, both good and bad sides to having a 100 mummies are illustrated and some are quite funny.
However the ending of the story I feel should have ended about 2 pages before it did....It should have ended with the girl in the story realising she is happy with the 2 mums she has. But it ends a bit oddly (in my opinion) with the mums going off to play chess.
The ending however doesn't change the fact that this books is really good.
