Product Description

Product Description

Based largely in and around Liverpool but reaching down to the Heights of Folkestone and deep into the Cotswolds and Cheltenham, the reader is given an insight, often controversial, into daily life. From the publisher: "The poems are delightful, lively, sharp and interestingly eclectic. Quite vivid and moving. He uses an almost 'stream of consciousness' style which makes you feel you are very much there at the moment. I also like his use of place and date for many of the poems - you know he is really real! He has a very individual style and I would be reluctant to edit out this individualism."

I've never been so moved by a book of modern poetry. The poems flow like a meandering river through an extremely varied landscape, a gentle flow at times but a raging torrent awaits where you least expect it. I feel that Ian Bradley Marshall bares all in this book, his deepest thoughts are revealed for those who are prepared to read between the lines. It's layered well and would make a great A level text.
