"Feherty is at his self-effacing best." -- Los Angeles Times

"Golf is not a game, it's a punishment." -- David Feherty

The New York Times bestselling author of A NASTY BIT OF ROUGH and SOMEWHERE IN IRELAND, A VILLAGE IS MISSING AN IDIOT, returns with a singular assortment of ribald observations on golf, life, and how best to not take any of it seriously.

"First Joyce, then Yeats, now Feherty. The tradition of Irish literary excellence continues, but with this difference: of the three, only Feherty is funny." -- Steven Pressfield, author of THE LEGEND OF BAGGER VANCE and THE WAR OF ART

About the Author

David Feherty is the host of the talk show FEHERTY on The Golf Channel. The New York Times called him "a cross between Oprah Winfrey and Johnny Carson." A mainstay throughout the PGA golf season on CBS Sports as an on-course personality and commentator, Feherty is also the author of SOMEWHERE IN IRELAND, A VILLAGE IS MISSING AND IDIOT, A NASTY BIT OF ROUGH, THE POWER OF POSITIVE IDIOCY, and DAVID FEHERTY'S TOTALLY SUBJECTIVE HISTORY OF THE RYDER CUP. Born and raised in Ireland, he now lives in Texas.

5.0 out of 5 stars David Feherty does tremendous work for the troops. 30 July 2009
By Ryan - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
To Thomas G. Jones and "book buyer" jerk,

Please refrain from commenting on or "reviewing" books that you have not read. Before you soulless robots begin making something out of nothing in an attempt to assassinate the character of someone who devotes a large amount of his time cheering up wounded troops, please let it go. It is not a good idea.

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny, sometimes even laugh-out-loud, funny 23 April 2014
By Pushed 60 - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
David Feherty's style is something I think you either find amusing or you don't. I happen to like it, read his "Somewhere in Ireland..." and loved that as well. If you're a golfer you will like it for sure; if you're not a golfer, maybe not. Don't expect a heavy account of what it's like being a CBS commentator, just read it for fun.
4.0 out of 5 stars If you like short bursts of abstract humor 4 Aug 2014
By Steebs - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
If you like short bursts of abstract humor, you'll enjoy this anthology of David's past articles. He looks at topics and events differently than you and I, with a twist that surprises the reader at times, but always entertains. A fun read. You'll ask yourself, "why didn't I think of that?" The answer is simple, we don't think like Feherty, which overall is probably a good thing. But then, we wouldn't have his gift to titulate and amuse us. Buy it, you'll like it.

By North Coast, Ohio - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
David Feherty brings his unique sense of humor and life experience to these pages. If you want to have an enjoyable, humorus look at golf, and an inside look at the game, take a few hours and read this. You'll be glad you did.
