Product Description

Review

Wide-ranging, well-informed and measured in its judgements, Willie Thompson’s new book provides a first-rate introduction to movements and ideas in the so-called ‘age of ideologies’. (Professor Kevin Morgan, School of Social Sciences, University of Manchester)

Aptly characterises the deadly contest over which ideology shall prevail, ending with Fascism's destruction in war, communism's dissolution from within, and liberalism/conservatism's emergence intact. (CHOICE)

Format: Paperback
Having held for some time that the quantitative differences between Stalinism, nazism, fascism and liberalism, have obscured their qualitative similarity - the use of the state to guard the privileges of the few against the many, it's nice to see that someone agrees with me. I'm so encouraged that I might read the book....

Anarchism, it's the only non-statist (and therefore non-fascist) politics around.
