A bit disappointing 23 Mar 2011
Format:Paperback
Some intersting ideas here, but ideas is all they are. There is very little in the way of advice as to how to use them practically in the classroom and several are of inappropraite challenge without scaffolding, which is rarely discussed.

Mike Ollerton is a vehement supporter of mixed ability teaching and in this book gives 100+ ideas to help maths teachers in doing it themselves, but even if your school uses setting the ideas here still work wonderfully. Anything written by this man is gold. Check it out it is absolutely brilliant!

100+ideas 25 Aug 2011
Format:Paperback
This is an excellent book which does what it says on the cover. I was looking for a book which would inspire me when planning sessions for teaching mathematics. I browsed a number of books but this one was definitely the best as far as I could see on-line. When it arrived it was even better than I expected. I would certainly recommend this book to anyone who teaches maths!
