Good Points:
Looks good, has almost every port I could wish for, cables are long enough and it includes a break-out slot to feed the usb 3.0 cables through the rear of the pc.

Bad Points:
very expensive at £22.99, I can buy a cheap basic pc case with power supply for less, a bit flimsy overall, the card reader is the worst problem, extremeley flimsy doesn't line up properly and upside down for compact flash. This has failed 3 times on me so far requiring a complete power down and reboot to get windows to recognise it again. The usb 3.0 cables have standard usb 3.0 plugs on the end of them requiring them to be plugged into the back of the motherboard. The answer is to buy a 19pin usb 3.0 adapter/converter which plugs directly onto the motherboard standard socket at £5.99. Quite why the usb 3.0 cables don't already have the standard motherboard connecter is beyond me, at the very least this adapter should have been included in the box. No firewire port.

I'm returning mine as it's faulty. Basically it's a usb hub, card reader and audio, usb3 and esata extension. The idea is very good, but the build quality, particularly around the card reader is extremely poor. My £5 card reader does a much better job and has never failed.

If Icy could fit a decent solid card reader. have standard usb3 motherboard connectors or include the usb3 adapter then this would have scored 5 stars, as it stands it only warrants 1 star.

This front panel reader offers the exact combo of ports I was looking for - CF reader, USB 2, front panel audio (headphone/mic), and SATA. These all have motherboard connectors, but the USB 3 ports do not (see below).
However, I have knocked off a couple of stars because:

USB 3 ports have a pass-through cable to connect to the back of the PC. This is not made clear in the description. Also the cables are big thick monsters to have to run through your computer. Since I don't have USB 3 anyway I just cut them off.

Build quality on the card reader was low. The slots didn't line up with the hole in the plastic case properly which made it difficult to insert cards. I was able to correct this by unscrewing and re-aligning the board, now working fine.

The CF and MS readers are 'upside down'. At least they are the other way up to my other card readers, and I feel like I am putting the cards in the wrong way up. Awkward at first, but soon got used to it.

Only seems to be available in black, and there is a bright blue power LED, which seems pretty redundant.

All in all, though, it does what I wanted and at a reasonable price.

I have to say this product is good, has all the ports I will ever need at the front of the system so I don't need to reach round the back or anywhere only a couple of things that lets it down badly.

The mounting of the ports on the inside, esp the media card ports are not solid in their mounting with in the whole structure. When I push in a media card I see the whole thing being pushed back, one day if I push a media card in too hard or fast I could see the plastic this is made out of breaking or something, also the CF and MS readers are 'upside down'. Takes a little while to get used to it but still

If it was made from metal and had more mounting screws for the PCB boards on the inside it would be perfect and solid. oh and its ever so slighty slimmer than 5.25 so there is a gaps

....so many negatives. It DOESN'T fit properly, too small, quarter of an inch clearance when fitted at top and maybe sixteenth on either side. The screws were atrocious quality and tore as soon as you started to actually tighten them. Had to find some spare ones of my own to fit. It isn't fastened securely, due to bad fit. Instructions are terrible. When eventually fitted, it was REALLY noisy. Quietened down a bit since, still noisier than my comp was prior to fitting it.
BUT - it works fine. If you can get used to the thing feeling very insecure and wobbly when putting usb sticks or SD cards into the thing, they work, and fine too Tempted to up it to 4 stars but then I try to put a usb stick in and it wobbles. So 3 stars it stays
But it works !
Later: The two usb 3.0's at the front work after I ran them off the back usb's off the motherboard. The Usb's at front DON'T work and haven't since after first couple of days. If I hadn't been trying to get them to work over the 30 days I could've sent them back. Too late.
This seems designed to fail. The only things that actually WORK are the things that have nothing to do with this card.
AVOID !

No wait. The SD card thing works. But I rarely use that

Apart from having to push leads out of the back of the computer to link up with rear USB sockets, when I offered a memory card to the wrong slot by mistake it swallowed it and I haven't yet found a way of extracting it.

I bought this to get more USB ports at the front and a CF card reader. My existing CF card reader has a rounded shape and a very short USB lead, unfortunately longer USB leads dot not reliably fit due to the curved design. I thought that this was a solution to the problem.

The card reader worked, but I felt the card was not particularly well located in the reader. I will continue to use my old card reader. Perhaps I should not be critical of something that worked properly.

The extra USB outlets are wonderful. I have 2 desktops and this was the second purchase of an ICY BOX. As a photographer I tend to build new computers and view purchases like this as being transferable to my next machine.

One practical piece of advice is to mount this below your optical drive as this avoids the USB cables affected by the tray opening or closing.
