Not a good reprensentation

First the 4 star rating I gave this is by no means a reflection on Jessica Andrews singing talent, she's a top rate artist with an amazing talent. But frankly I would have given this CD a 3 star had it not been for that I own and thoroughly enjoy much of her music, she is among my favorite female country artists. I know music is subjective but to her manager/producers, or whoever compiled this collection, I want to say "come on"! The title says "Best of Jessica Andrews" and to those who aren't that familiar with her music trust me this is not her best. Not to say there isn't some good music here but where is 'Ruby Shoes', 'Hungry Love', 'The Riverside', 'Heart Shaped World', I could go on. In my humble layman opinion this CD's compilation of songs is a disservice to a talented artist. To those who are familiar with Ms. Andrews music I'm preaching to the choir but to those not that familiar I think this would leave them with a so-so impression. To the later I say start by checking out her CD 'Heart Shaped World', I give it 5 stars and it's definitely worth your money. Ms Andrews has enough 5 star music out there to have a blockbuster "Best of" CD. To this CD's managers/producers I say give us (the consumer) and Ms. Andrews a break, we and she deserves a better compilation under the "Best of" title than this, even at the low price.
