Very stylish 8 Feb 2010
This is a very stylish glass stand , I used it for a 50inch plasma and its fine. Its well packaged but does require two people to fit together ( one to hold things together while the other tightens the nuts and bolts.) Being black it does show fingerprints quite easy, but a simple wipe down sorts that. Over all I would have given this product full marks as it is sturdy and stylish and looks better than the normal glass stands you see in the shops. the only down side is that it takes two people to put together, hence I give it a 4.
The cable tidy aspect works well , with you being able to feed the cables in the stem at the back. There is a hole in the stand for cables on the bottom shelf but none in the stem for the top shelf, so you end up putting something with very few cables on the top shelf as they are on show. Still very pleased with the item.

This item is everything I had hoped for. It is stylish and holds the television at a very good height for veiwing from an armchair. The price was very good too - most other similar stands would have cost considerably more. Instructions were easy to follow for assembly. Only one word of warning - keep a pack of glass cleaner wet wipes handy as it attracts dust like a magnet. However I find this a small price to pay for this very attractive item.

All the components appear to be of a high quality and fit together really nicely. Although the manual says you need two people you can do it all with one person. All looks really nice no sharp edges, really precise fittings and the shelves are well spaced apart. The width between the front legs is about 1.1m and about 0.5m shelf depth. The space beneath the lower glass shelf also acts as another shelf but only about 10-15cm high. The cable tidy is a nice feature but remember to put your thinnest cables through first otherwise it starts to get a little tight. The black base to the unit sits completely flat on the floor there are no feet on the base to raise it off the floor, but to be fair I prefer this look.

If you have any missing parts call the helpline to the manufacturer directly and they'll help you out (excellent customer service). Rather than contact Amazon who simply placed a replacement order, which would've required me to repackage everything and send it back. It's abotu 40kg and too big to fit in the back of my car. Took me a morning to get Amazon to cancel the replacement.

Still a little confused about the mounting the TV to the back plate. I assembled it according to the instructions and found that 2 brackets had to be mounted to the rear of the TV. These brackets would then allow you to simply hang the TV on the backplate. This meant that the bottom of the TV could be pulled from the backplate with the slight pressure. Also it meant that the whole TV could slide laterally across the backplate, since the backplate had no stops at the end this meant that the TV could slide off completely. Evnetually I had to use cable ties to secure the TV in place. If anyone know if this is how it is supposed to be when assembled or know where I might've gone wrong please leave a comment and let me know.

I mounted a Samsung UE40C6530 to this stand and they look really good together.

Overall an excellent product well packaged, asthetically pleasing, good quality materials, good value for money, reasonably well designed and keeps my new TV out of reach of the little ones.
