Here come Rammstein with another great slab of beautiful hard metal to pound your face. German geniuses with some scary ghost like backing vocals and a nice dose of hefty guitars and cheeky keybord as usual. sing along now ICH WILL ICH WILL

Worth it for Pet Sematary alone...,
By Jeremy Williams - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Ich Will (Audio CD)
While the remixes are quite lame in my opinion (You might like them if you like electronic music), the live video of Ich Will that you can watch on your computer and the cover of "Pet Sematary" more than make up for it. "Pet Sematary" is a tribute to Joey Ramone, who recently died.Amazon.com doesn't seem to have the tracklisting yet, but here it is: 01. Ich Will (Album Version) (3:37) Make sure to get this if you are a Rammstein fan!! 6 of 7 people found the following review helpful:

Rammstein: to be heard and SEEN!,
By P. Bjel - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Ich Will (Audio CD)
Released September 10, 2001, ICH WILL is yet another welcome addition to the growing number of singles that are tied to the superb Rammstein album MUTTER. A song of a bizarre portrayal of coveting everything, the eerily familiar ambiguity to be found in Rammstein's lyrics abounds. This single includes a live version of the song "Ich Will" (Track 2) which would remind any fans that saw Rammstein in action during their 2001 tour of the glory associated with seeing these guys perform before an audience. All the spectacular effects and sound are captured forever on this single, along with the song "Pet Sematary" (Track 5), not released on MUTTER but performed live on the same tour with Clawfinger, who were their sidekicks. The Ramones wrote this song, obviously after the Stephen King novel (and movie) about utter evil and returning from the dead to commit mayhem. Flake Lorenz, Rammstein's keyboardist, sings this song with Clawfinger in honour of Joey Ramone who died on Easter 2001. The tracklisting is as follows: (1) Ich Will (Album Version) (3:37) Westbam do a remix of this song (Track 3); they do not quite do Rammstein honour. As was the case with Rammstein's previous single LINKS 2 3 4, in which the band Westbam remixed two versions of the song, they did a far from ideal job in the case of one particular version. The electrical enhancements of singer Till Lindemann's voice were pathetic and the remix was `stretched,' in that it was longer than required. On this single, Westbam do the same mistake: the same electrical enhancements of Lindemann's voice are there, and the song is again too long. A perfect case of `Westbam deja vu.' Paul van Dyk's remix is a much better rendition of "Ich Will" (Track 4), as Lindemann's vocals are left alone, and there is an interesting experimentation with the choral melody of the song. Paul van Dyk does create a catchy tune, but his remix does not, unfortunately, parallel Clawfinger's talent in remixing Rammstein's songs, which they did for the previous two singles. An added bonus to this single is a live CD-ROM track which can be viewed on one's PC. It is the same live version of "Ich Will" to be found on this single, only with the added visual effects. This single, with the outlined faults notwithstanding, is excellent and another welcome addition to any Rammstein collection. Rumour has it that one more single from MUTTER will be released before Rammstein `move on'; Rammstein fans of all countries, keep your fingers crossed! 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful:

Up to their usual standards...,

I just finished listening to this single, ans I think it's a great compilation of stuff. I think the live version really captures what it's like to be at a Rammstein concert. The other highlight, Pet Sematary, is my favorite live song they've ever recorded. Flake sounds great on it. It's a great song to begin with, but it's cool to hear it re-produced by Rammstein's unique sound. It's neat that they release all these maxis with extra tracks and stuff, but it'd be awesome if they were released in America as well, none the less, I'll go to any lenghts and any heights to get my dose of Rammstein! Also, if you want to learn more about rammstein and other german-rock bands, there's a really cool site I visit a lot called herzeleid.com it's really cool!
