For Raise the Titanic!: 'A great adventure thriller which spins from one dizzying climax to another ... Riveting ... simply super and very cleverly done' Publishers Weekly ** --This text refers to the Paperback edition.

Product Description

A huge iceberg adrift in the Atlantic is a floating tomb. Embedded in its mass is a ship, completely sealed in. For Major Dirk Pitt, top troubleshooter for the National Underwater and Marine Agency, its the first link in a chain of events which will lead him too close, too often to violent death. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

I used to love Clive Cussler's books but I think I have now reached saturation point and find myself a bit fed up with the wild plots and the sexist male characters. Although this is one of the better Pitt books I've read recently it did feel in parts as if Cussler just got fed up and progressed the book in a way that seemed as if he just wanted to get the reveal about the sinister plot out of the way. I think I'll be taking a long break before picking up any more of the series.

Great action book 23 July 2003
Format:Paperback
To enjoy this novel you have to roll with the corney plot! Clive Cussler has produced a novel enjoyable to anyone who can open their mind to the remarkable situations brave Dirk Pitt finds himself in. It'll make you laugh out loud. So predictable, it's funny, with some clever twists.

Format:Mass Market Paperback
This is a typical Cussler Pitt Book, full of plot twists and exciting adventures, both under and above the water.

Cussler on form again. Enjoyable to be able to follow his characters (Pitt etc.) through different stages of their lives. Keep it up!

Lacking real depth
This early Cussler novel is certainly light on real story. The plot is driven by volumes of narrative which describes the plot and it used as a vehicle to progress it. Read more

A truely awful and out of date book
You can really tell that this book was written in the 1970's. It is homophobic and sexist and has little relevance to the world as it is now. Read more

it was great!
I read this book 15 years ago, and have to buy each new one, when it comes out, because Dirk Pitt is my main man! AND he always pulls in a nice car...

2 dimensional characters with hackneyed plot
Clive Cussler takes a James Bond style plot and makes it even more unbelievable. The book is full of two dimensional characters and cheesy plotlines. Read more
