A great dvd update for anyone who owns the vhs version. This release has been long overdue! 58 mins of classic Blockheads material including their three top ten singles. Padded out with another six concert favorites, including "We want the gold" which was never recorded in the studio. (Ian was inspired to write this track after he appeared in the film, "Pirates"). A nice release for any one who wants to see one of the tightest bands around at their best, playing on their "own ground" as it were!! Only fault with this is the lack of extras. (Original videos for the singles would have been nice)!!! But all in all a nice result.

Being a die hard Ian Dury & the Blockheads addict since the day I first managed to hear their material, I have been scanning the Internet for their DVD's for ages. I battled through the years to lay my hands on their vinyl especially being from S.A. Finally got this DVD and the Blockheads one courtesy of Amazon! Well, this is ageless stuff, almost brings a tear to the eye of a true Blockhead fan. If you know the man and his band, get it now. No question about it, it is a must have! And thanks to Amazon UK for having this readily available.

I saw this wonderful band twice, about 20 years ago. Their famous 'New Boots n Panties' album was an instant favourite but - on stage, they were even better. This DVD takes me back to their great songs, sound and performance.
Plenty of close up views as Ian goes his own inimitable way through famous but never familiar songs. And time to watch the band, too.
58 minutes of fun, exhilaration and great music.
If you liked the singles, risk it; if you liked the albums, or watched them don't hesitate.
No DVD extras at all, and not too many songs - the last tracks are typical extended end of the gig encores - but i'll still give top marks.
