This is an official OGC product and Malcolm Fry is a recognised SME within ITIL circles, so you expect it to be good.
After the somewhat confusing message sent out by "Building an ITIL-based service management department" by the same author, I am glad to say that this is a good return to form.
There is little padding by going over the same message of what the ITIL v3 lifecycle includes, but plenty of flow charts, templates and step-by-step approaches to implementing components of ITIL. Comparisons are made between version 2 and version 3, potential pitfalls and blocks to implemenation and how to overcome them.
The best part of this publication is in how to categorise components of ITIL then implement those of high priority from cradle to grave.
A cracking book and one that comes highly recommended.
