This is a hard-case. I don't think it made it clear in the text/description that it was such a design but for me it was an advantage. Fits nicely around the back and side of the iphone and although it's a good fit, it is easy enough to remove to occasionally clean out the dirt that settles in it.

My only gripe is that the design is technically upside-down. As you take a pic in landscape the design is the wrong-way-up (only to those looking towards the phone).

A case that doesn't get in the way, doesn't add much bulk to the phone and protects the back & sides (not front).
