I bought this handset because I prefer to use a 'phone' to talk into rather than headsets or separate mic and headphones.
This phone works properly with Skype without any echo. The volume is good and you can control it using the handset along with all the other functions such as selecting who to call.
The ring is good and loud, and you can turn it off. Normally I only plug the handset into USB if I want to call someone, but you could leave it plugged in all the time and have it start with Windows if you want to be available.
The build quality is acceptable and it fits well into the hand. The buttons are a bit squidgy and small, but you can operate all the fuctions of the phone through the computer if you have hand problems.
The software driver for the phone is a little clunky looking but it does what it needs to do and doesn't crash - which after all is the main thing.

I got my mentioned phone today and I'm quite impressed, all with in a few minutes of setting it up. Not the best looking, but I paid peanuts for it and I wanted to try Skype out for calling abroad. So it's hello to cheap calls to the continent for which I'm happy about and a good little phone for the price. :-)
