I got this unit from Maplins a week ago, I got Maplins to collect it 3 days later. Its useless! not only did the pictures jump around, the tracking buttons did not help, there is no help from the sheet of paper that I got with the unit or any other help from Ion, worst of all is, that when I played my video tapes that were played on the Ion machine, all of them developed a permanent noise fault on all my tapes!!!! Complete rubbish! Avoid!!!! Try Toshiba D-VR18DT.

The Quality of the copy is just good not great, in my opinion. Something is lost during the process and I have a 10% failure rate so far which isn't funny after a two hour download.
I had the idea of converting all my old Videos I've since changed my mind.

Purchased this item. I can't tell if its any good though because I can't get the drivers to load have e-mailed Ion customer services 4 times after the third email I had one reply asking for more information, now they have gone back to ignoring me.
