Turn it up loud, Tailgater delivers quality audio output that can be heard from a range of over 150ft (that’s the length of an average football pitch to me and you or 45.72 metres) so it’s perfect for small to medium sized venues and can be used inside or out, you can also connect multiple Tailgaters together for larger events. Tailgater is compact and lightweight enough to carry around with you.

The Tailgater gives you more than your average amp, play music from your iPod or plug in an Electric Guitar or other musical instrument via the RCA and 1/4" Stereo inputs. Plug in the included Microphone and provide the entertainment yourself. The individual volume controls allow you to perfectly balance the sound from the mic/stereo inserts as well as the Aux (RCA) and iPod playback separately. The included Microphone features a handy on/off switch and comes with the mic cable attached, ready for use.

To Charge or not to Charge
Fully charged its long-life, built-in rechargeable battery can play music at full volume for over 12 hours. Full Charge from mains power takes 4 hours and the on-board LED battery indicator lets you monitor the charge level. Tailgater can also work off of the mains power using the included power cable. There is also the option to charge your iPod whilst it is docked.

I run dancing classes in a few places around my local area, and this is perfect for what i need. I can use it to play the music from my iPod and the microphone socket comes in handy too, with a good quality of sound. Very portable as easy to move around, and always good to have the option of running from battery. I would definitely give this a thumbs up.

Bought this for my cheer squad and was really pleased with the size of it (portable), the sound is great even though its small enough to carry.
Has a microphone with it and can plug in any ipod and charges it too.

We purchased this for a couple of events we had planned, and certainly weren't disappointed. We were able to use our iPods with it, and also, because it came with a microphone, it worked brilliantly as a public address system.
I believe you can connect other things and use it as an amp, but purely as a sound system, we were very happy. There was no noticeable sound distortion, even when it was loud.
