ION released the World’s first USB Turntable, the TTUSB, in 2005, since then our engineers and software designers have been working to provide you with the best, easy-to-use solutions on the market.ION’s exclusive EZ Vinyl Converter software guides you through the easy-to-follow steps as you transform your records to digital MP3 files and a USB cable is included to connect Profile LP to your computer.
Our software works for Mac and PC and the latest software updates can be downloaded from our website.
The software offers automatic track splitting option, so you can just set the LP or EP to record and come back later. If you are transferring live recordings or classical pieces then you have the option to manually split the tracks
There is a track and album naming option and EZ Converter Software automatically transfers your songs to your iTunes library for ease of transfer to an iPod or for burning to disc. If you prefer not to use iTunes, Profile LP will work with virtually all music transfer/recording software including Audacity, which can be downloaded as freeware from the internet. (Audacity does not require iTunes).

Was cautious because i'd just bought a cheap alternative in Maplins which I then found had rubbish reviews and had been removed from their own site. However, this one works very well. Simple to set up and plug in, simple to load the software.
Worth noting the comment about feedback through your PC, i needed to alter a sound card option, but i followed instructions and it worked, so don't panic.
The only flaw is the automatic track break recognition will sometimes get it wrong - but that's the nature of the tracks themselves. You can download Audacity software which looks scary, but i managed to work out how to cut & paste bits of tracks together and save them, and they do appear on the iPod (phew!). Having said that, most of the time it works just fine, and it's definately worth getting the old vinyl onto the iPod. A thoroughly good buy!

I was very pleasantly surprised at how easy this was to use. Having used similar products before I was expecting this to be fiddly but the simple software was a delight. Shame my old record collection isn't as great as nostalgia led me to believe.

I bought a Bush turntable which was just awful from Argos, I returned the Bush one and Got the Ion profile, what a great Deck I had the old Ion silver deck but this one is much better, it has'nt got a volume button like the older Ion deck at the back (which is why my deck was replaced the volume button was faulty), but you download the new software EZ vinyl converter and the volume is on the screen great improvement, the sound quality is also great, I would give this deck 10/10 compared with 1/10 for the Bush USB deck No bass response at all! stay clear of Bush and stick with Ion.
