Great barefoot starter shoe,

This has to be the most comfortable trainer I have ever owned! Works equally well as a 'normal' trainer as well as a trail shoe. The first barefoot style shoe I have tried and I am 'hooked'! I am a UK 6.5 and their sizing fits my foot beautifully....almost slipper-like :-) I have 2 pairs...one for road running and the other I keep for my off-road escapades. Also, with a minimalist sole they don't seem to accumulate so much mud on the soles...result! As with all barefoot shoes you need to start gently as the foot-strike is a much more natural action so you will be using your calf muscles more than a regular trainer. This is particularly good for women as the natural foot strike action is more of the whole foot rather than the heel which tends to happen with a traditional trainer. I for one have had no back or knee problems since switching to barefoot trainers. Also, they look 'normal' as opposed to some other optionsI looked at. Would highly recommend...so go for it!
