This review is from: InMotion for iPod (Electronics)
Instead of having a stack of CDs in my (largeish) office, and a midi hi-fi system I now have my ipod (and the 870 CDs it holds) plugged into this product sitting on my desk. It does exactly the job I wanted. Some reviewers have criticised the sound output. It is true that there is distortion of bass at higher volumes, and if garage or drum 'n' bass is your thing this may not be the product for you. I have been playing Faithless this morning at a volume loud enough to piss off my neighbours with no real problem, and have also tried it out with classical music with good results. This is not 'hi-fi', but it is a reasonable sound quality for non-dedicated listening - in other words if you want background music while you work or are happy not to have full CD quality this is absolutely fine. It is also a very neat product, taking up little space, and could not be more simple to use. As it charges the ipod while it plays if you are running it off the mains you can use your ipod on the go, plug and play at work or at home and recharge without interruption. I have not tried it with batteries only, so don't know how long it would keep going.

If you want the ability to play your iPod over something other than headphones and can't be bothered with connecting cables to the back of your stereo everytime to do so then the InMotion is the perfect iPod accessory.
Despite its small, albeit beautifully styled size, the InMotion produces high quality, room-filling sound combined with the benefits of plug and play technology. Its highly portable and extremely light, making it ideal for taking on holiday (something which I can personally testify to) yet also perfect for home use, running off mains power and removing the need for constant changes of batteries.
It can double up as a base station if needed and recharges the iPod as it plays, so you can play as much as you want for as long as you want. In other words it does pretty much anything you could want it to.
So, unless you feel the need for huge speakers in order to say something about yourself, enjoy fiddling around with wires or insist on hearing every single tone of a particular piece of music (in which case why use an iPod?) go buy an InMotion or its younger brother, the iM3. The only thing it lacks is a remote control (something Altec Lansing have corrected with the iM3) but that is easily resolved by purchasing a NaviPod IR Remote.

Wow so much from so little .These compact speakers deliver surprising sound quality. Pleasantly surprising. They are neat tidy easy to use and frankly quite sexy for speakers. They are a wonderful addition for my i pod . They will be an ideal holiday companion in allowing me to annoy all the other holiday makers with my favorite five thousand tunes whilst sipping a cool g and t on the balcony . Go an d by you will not be disappointed
