I have had my V4 now for 2 months, it works ( I guess) and the interface software is very good, however its ability to find and lock on to satellites is not very good, yes it has to have clear sight and not be blocked and it has. if you drive off straight away then it can be searching for up to 20 minutes and by that time you have stopped and got out the car. Odd as its supposed to be Sirf-star 3 and no I dont have one of those nuisance windscreens. I used tom-tom before with pocketgpsworld database and had no problems at all but now I have satnav built in I needed a camera detector
I have also noticed its prone to dropping out which could be a problem in a camera area. Its fixed camera warning sites have been fine to date, specs and other ones were not up to date especially motorway and although it says it uses the pocketgpsworld database I have to find that questionable.
Easy to update, compact in size, although I paid half of what a Novus piccolo costs, if I knew now what I didnt know before, I would have bought a piccollo as I tried one and it was better although the voice does get a tad tedious after a while
No I wouldnt buy another. All I can say is that its better than nothing and its flashing lights when its seeking a satellite at least does remind me to watch my speed.
The inforad people (ireland) were great, quick delivery, very helpful. maybe the other inforad products are better. 2 stars say I dont like it, I like its light system, the style, the software, the Company if only it could find the satellites and hang on to them
