Horrible!

I bought this for my not quite 3 month old son and was so disappointed with it. First, as mentioned, the material is cheap. I wasn't surprised by that since I bought it in a store and was able to look at and feel the fabric...and the price couldn't be beat. What bothered me about it was that the removable bar releases from the holes that the ends go into with just a bump! In order to secure the bar into the holes you have to slip a strap into a plastic loop and then use "velcro" to stick it to itself-but every time you bump the bar it comes out of the hole and then, since the "velcro" isn't very strong, the strap comes loose. It isn't easy to slip through the loop and having to do it EVERY time I take out the mat is no fun.
In order to continue to use it while my son is still small enough I've had to use masking tape to secure the straps in place. It is very ugly (the masking tape) but it does the trick.
It has a handful of pros, it folds up and has a strap that secures it allowing you to carry it or put it away. It is cute. My son does enjoy it enough to warrant keeping it around. But all in all I wish I had spent a little more money on a better product.

LOVE IT!

I got this for my baby to take to work sometimes and she loves lying in it playing with the toys, grasping for them. She's getting to where she loves to smile and giggle. It's a great developmental product and it gives them some "alone" time while you watch them from a distance. It's a great product and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants an awesome developmental baby product! Cute, space-saving (closes up and stored against the wall in a jiffy) and economical too!

Fun for a while

We received this as a gift. It is pretty cheap material, but not problematically cheap. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed it from about 4 weeks to 3 months. The hanging toys were a good height for her to reach, and she enjoyed batting at them. One rattles, one crinkles, they all swung well for her. She played with it for up to 30 minutes at a time. It was easy to move around the house and wash. However, when she was about 3 months old she starting ripping the whole overhead bar down. It has a sort of quick-release gizmo, and she completely overpowered that. Eventually she'd have the bar down within a minute of being put on the mat. We replaced this gym with a sturdier type that she still loves at 6 months.
