Glenn Tilbrook is one of the best singer songwriters of all time. Has partnership with Chris Difford has led to some of the catchiest modern day classics; 'Up the Junction', 'If It's Love' and 'King George Street' to name but a few. But how would he cope without Diffords influence. Beautifully is the answer. Songs like 'You see me' and 'Interviewing Randy Newman' show the diversity of melodic harmonies through to fast driven rock. Buy this record at it is an exceptional peice of work, and go and see him in concert too as he is as charismatic as ever and their are very few as talented!

Fantastic!!! 1 Oct 2001
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
This solo debut by Glenn Tilbrook (former Squeeze singer) is incredible! It has a fresh, vital sound and spans a wide range of emotions and situations, including a funny account of a Radio 2 interview gone horribly wrong in "Interviewing Randy Newman", and a funky-but-sobering account of a suicide in "One Dark Moment". In between are love songs, bittersweet ("I Won't See You") and happy ("You See Me") and many others gems. This album is proof positive that Tilbrook just gets better and better at his craft. Highly recommended!

brill solo album by a top tunesmith!

glenn has a fantastic puristic voice that sends a shiver up and down as you listen to his self penned tracks

favourite is 'this is where you ain't' although GSOH essential deserves a mention coz of the S-Club 7 reference!

see this man live - he is the best
