1.0 out of 5 stars RUBBISH REALPLAY 8 Jan 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase
Fun: 1.0 out of 5 stars
Where do I begin? Oh let's start with this game is absolutely RUBBISH! The cue feels very cheap, the gameplay is terrible the cue doesn't really respond that well to your movement. The loading takes ages and when you do play the game the frame rate is rather slow and choppy. There is a multiplayer mode but from what I see you need 2 cues to play it and what's the point in that? You'd have to spend double your money just to use the multiplayer mode!?!?! The player customisation options are poor really, there are only a few options to choose and I don't know what age range this is aimed at but it's not everyone because when you customise your player there is only MEN to dress up, there are WOMEN pool players in the world too you know! If I could rate this game below Amazon's star rating I would because it is really poor!It is an alternative to a Wii but it isn't a good one,if you want good wireless gameplay get the Wii itself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great fun - me and the kids love it. 4 Dec 2007
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I completely disagree with the earlier review. And haven't encountered any of the camera problems that he's complaining of!

I bought this for my 10 year son, and we've spend many an hour this weekend challenging each other. (I even managed a 9 ball clearance against him!).

The venues are quite nice, nothing special. The 'create your own character' is a nice touch. The cameras for us worked well, and the only complaint I'd have with the motion-sensing controls is that you aim left/right when lining up your shot by using the D-Pad rather than waving the cue around. I was able to play both soft and gentle shots (which seemed a little easier than doing so in the Pool game on Wii Play!), and applying spin and side to the cue ball is easy too.

My son hasn't got that far into the Career mode, but did win the 2nd Tournament without problem. Oh, and it has a Snooker mode in there - though the kids don't really have the patience for watching me play a lengthy game of snooker against the computer :)

All in all, I would heartily recommend this game. The loading times are quite slow, but I think the multi-player gaming experience is worth the wait. I think I may have to get the family a copy of the PuzzleSphere game from the range over Xmas as it may appeal to the females in the house more than the sports editions!

1.0 out of 5 stars Realnightmare 3 Dec 2007
Fun: 1.0 out of 5 stars
Got this title over the weekend. Was really looking forward to it, but unfortunately my excitement was shortlived.
Loading is dreadfully slow! Graphics throughout are awful. In-game music simliar to supermarket music.

And as for gameplay. Aaaaaahhhhhh. The external cue just doesn't react to any form of movement or button pushing. There is only a few table viewing options which means a lot of the time you are forced to take a shot blind on the cushion, tilted cueing with no other balls visible! There are many many more problems apart from what I have just mentioned, MY ADVICE: Avoid at all costs! It's just a poor gimmick!
