3.0 out of 5 stars For the American market, 11 Dec 2008
By Antonio Moncayo (Zaragoza) - See all my reviews
(TOP 500 REVIEWER)
This is a very basic introduction to mac targeted for an American audience.
I found most of the jokes simple and some annoying , the actual hard information is not very much but is a simple and gentlr introduction to all the bacis programs in your mac.

The bits about the story are boring and there are a lot of partisan opinions.

Itunes and Iphoto are well covered.

3 1/2 stars

I found it very easy to follow. Interesting to read. I am glad I purchased it prior to buying an Imac. I would recommend it if you are computer challenged like myself.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Mac Starter Book, 24 Jul 2009
By T. Ryan (Cardiff) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I brought this book when I first took the leap from a pc to an iMac, it's a great book to help you get through those early weeks when you & your mac are still getting to know each other. But a year later I'm now finding the book a bit basic & doesn't always cover what I want to know.... For those starting out it's a great little buy for the money, but for those who have experience of a mac it won't tell you anything you don't already know.
