5.0 out of 5 stars excellent synthesis of Bible teaching & psychology - buy it!, 15 Aug 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: IMITATING CHRIST THROUGH GUIDED CHANGEWO (Paperback)
Written primarily for Christian leaders, counsellors and people helpers, this book shows how to identify and change limiting beliefs, behaviours, attitudes and habits, with a view to fulfilling personal potential as a Christian. I would recommend it to people who do not have a faith, as it gives an inside view of modern christian thought. In more technical terms, it effectively combines Biblical wisdom and insight with elements of the modern psychological approach of NLP (neuro linguistic programming)

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: IMITATING CHRIST THROUGH GUIDED CHANGEWO (Paperback)
This book is charmingly written and is- overall- easy to read. The first half centres around a theology of changework, and the second is primarily about the changework itself.
Despite the fact that the latter section of the book is a little more technically-oriented than the comparatively chatty style would lead you to believe, the bulk of the material is fairly accessible and all of the information can be quickly assimmilated because of this.
I would only recommend this to you if you want a book about changework written for christians in an overtly (but not confrontational) christian way. If this is what you want, you will be delighted. If not, then your disappointment will be entirely your own doing.
