Got 2 of these for my 8 year old for christmas as her sister is always texting her friends and she was feeling left out. Having read all the nightmare reviews on the internet, (only saw them after I bought them!) I was dreading her wanting to play with these. However I found them very easy to put on the computer, the instructions were fine. We just set both passwords as "password" so no probs there. She takes hers up into her bedroom and either me or her sister message her. She loves them. Havent tried with any of her friends as they dont have them but it works great for what we wanted. However they do beep when you type and i can not seem to turn that off which does get on your nerves after awhile, mine not hers!

To be completely honest - I only brought these to keep my daughter quiet during the holidays ... did it have the desired 'quiet & busy' effect ... NO.
I brought 2 as they were on offer and as the RRP was really expensive I thought I was onto a winner. The instructions are complicated, you need a computer to make them work effectively. Trying to remember each login and password was annoying. They do not cover much ground so you near on need to be sitting next to each other in order for them to work. They were good for me to IM my daughter from my PC when she was upstairs, but they were pretty useless for her to play 'chat' with a friend. I have a few 'Girltech' products and all of them haven't lived up to their expectations. Not great - ok for 10 minutes then a bit boring. Not good if your child cannot spell. 1/10

Not very happy with product as it is only when you actually receive it you are then able to read
small print on box! On the box it states 'NOT COMPATIBLE WITH AOL' and that the Licence holder is entitled to 'terminate IM-ME online service in January 2110'. My granddaughter's ISP is AOL and so it looks as though this game is useless to her as a xmas present and I feel very strongly that a have been MIS-SOLD this product.
