IGN "Serie Bleue" folded paper maps cover all of the areas of France which are not covered by maps from the Top 25 range.
Top 25 maps are only available for the most popular tourist areas; the Serie Bleue maps are at the same scale (1:25 000).
The Serie Bleue mapping is identical in all respects to that of the Top 25, bar the highlighting of ski routes and hiking paths which is present on the Top 25 range.
The legend is in French only. Each Serie Bleue map covers an area of approximately 20 x 14 km (12 x 9 miles), with some maps slightly larger.
Contour lines are given at intervals of 5 metres, except for mountainous areas, where the maps have hill shading and contours at 10 metre intervals.
