Handy kettle 1 Nov 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase
Bought this for a 75 year old who was struggling with a normal size kettle. Great little kettle and 1 litre really is enough for odd cups of tea and coffee. Makes you wonder why kettles are so big.

As just over a half-litre of water makes two mugs of tea, bought this kettle for my 84 year-old mother who lives alone. She finds it lightweight, quick to boil water, and generally easy to use. I feel it offers good value at this price.

This is a dear little kettle and just the right weight and size for those with arthritic mitts and arms not designed to lift heavy, water-filled containers. It is stubby in shape, light-weight, boils quietly (a big bonus)and rapidly and the lid opens fully on the top for very easy filling. It's not a large kettle so don't buy it if you're making tea for ten every day but for one or two people it does the job very well, very quietly and with no fuss. Highly recommended.

Useful little kettle
I have bought a number of different small kettles for my elderly mother in law. Something always breaks on them. So far this kettle seems to be quite robust.

Could be dangerous
I bought this kettle about 9 months ago as small and easy to handle. However, if filled to max the handle gets really hot and also the body of the kettle has now developed cracks. Read more
