Product Description

GW-USMicroN is a Draft IEEE802.11n USB adapter. It is the smallest USB adapter of its kind in the world, with the size of approximately 16.00mm(W) x 8.0mm(H) x 33.5(D).(Researched by Planex) It provides an access speed of 150Mbps with IEEE802.11n Draft2.0 protocol. It is also officially recommended by Xlink Kai, which is a software that allows PSP or Nintendo DS users to play online games all over the world. GW-USMicroN has a WPS button that provides easy wireless LAN set up by clicking the utility of a PC and pushing the button of a wireless router. Even a first time wireless LAN user can set it up very easily.

THis is brilliant, I have had LAN wireless cards before, they were different makes and kept breaking. This is so good, it is so small and i dont even notice it is there.
Thank you so much!!!

I was so impressed with this PLANEX dongle, I immediately bought another. XP and Vista machines can wirelessly connect to your router, working side-by-side without a hitch. The basic documentation is fine, although obviously translated from another language. The "special features" aren't explained and remain a mystery, but that's not a problem.

On the minus side, the signal strength is not as good as larger adapters I've seen. And where they can provide 216+Mbps, I've not seen the PLANEX go beyond 54Mbps (although it does claim a top speed of 150Mbps).

But where other USB adapters are too big to safely plug directly into the back of your PC, and need an extension cable, this is very small and neat. Furthermore, the Planex is "always on", whereas some other types do not necessarily reconnect on reboot unless you have installed their proprietary software utility.

Teeny Tiny Small! 7 May 2009
Excellent product, does exactly what I wanted to.

I brought it to replace the internal wireless card on my faulty acer aspire one and needed something that wasn't going to stick out. This is really small and about as small as it gets for a wireless adapter so fits the bill perfectly. Connected to my wireless N router no problem, it did more then I expected given that the size of the aerial inside the dongle must be tiny.
