Do NOT buy this software. What the other reviewer wrote about it freezing, working intermittently is TRUE. I am also an experienced MAC user, I have several computers and use Tiger. It freezes, does not work, I haven't been able to get past the Setup Assistant. It has been a COMPLETE waste of money! Technical Support is absolutely useless, you are required to get a PIN before they will even give you any support!! It is truly neither worth the money or the hassle. I thought I was buying something to simplify my like and make things easier, instead I have wasted time and energy in trying to get it to work. And still it's not working. Look for an alternative, but I recommend you stay clear of this dreadfully awful software.

It sort of worked years ago on my G4, then I had to retrain it for my G5 with OS 10.4 but now it certainly doesn't on an Intel. And no-one at Nuance seems to know if it ever will be updated for that.

Unless you actually enjoy pitting your wits against inadequate hard- and software avoid this product. I'm an experienced Mac user and 4 hours later I'm still on Setup Assistant having been beset by one problem after another. The headset that this comes with is working only intermittently, the setup assistant freezes when you read too fast, technical help tells you to re-install, when you reinstall the stories that you're supposed to read to calibrate the software disappear.... and so it goes on. To cap it all, technical support is so complex (or so inundated?) that you need to register and get a PIN number before you can get any help. I thought I'd left it long enough for this product to be seamless plug and play with the glitches ironed out. How wrong can you be? I'm after a refund.

Nightmare
As other reviewers have discovered, this software simply does not work. I have tried loading it on a Mac Mini and a Mac Book with identical results - it freezes when registering. Read more

This product does exactly what it says it should. I can dictate at a normal speed, and with normal intonation, and it types it. Read more
