As a long time user of the Cognos Suite (and SPSS), I was wary of how the products may converge. I was hoping to find a guide that would begin to help me understand IBM's thinking through practical examination of the features. This guide more than serves that need and much more. Well-written, clear, and expansive, this treatment absolutely deserves a place in your library.

Being new to Cognos (just starting with 10) this book has been a big help. After using the IBM documentation for the install - the install isn't covered in the book - it was great to have this book to reference. The basic examples of what we need to do definitely helped me get up to speed in a hurry!

This book is excellent in highlighting the best features of Cognos 10. It includes realistic examples of how you may make use of a particular feature. The step by step and screen shots make it very easy to follow. Definitely a book any Cognos 10 user would want to have.
