Had never heard of Herbert before, but took a punt on this album. Wow. Can see exactly why he's the best selling artist in Germany of all time - what a stunning songwriter! To The Sea is probably the highlight, absolutely beautiful.

One of the best albums I've bought this year for sure. I advise anybody reading to purchase this album immediately!

The Tunnel and Mensch with Bono are brilliant. I've started to look for him after I saw movie The American. The Tunnel - main theme is a piece of art

Like all good things this album is a grower.
Excellent.

I have had more time to listen and I keep loving it more.
These songs mostly reworked from their German originals
work really well in English. Though some layers maybe lost
over all the extra vocal emotion makes up for it. His vocals
in German when live tend to be more talkie for his German fans
it is closer to poetry read to music they are less bothered by
the voice and more focused on words and meaning.
