Format:Audio CD
I have listened to this CD over and over again...Idina Menzel has such an amazing voice and vocal range and the whole album really shows this. I waited for this album to come out in the UK for soooo long! I saw her perform in the I Stand tour in Florida, where she sang her heart out, and she was absolutely fantastic, and the album reflects that.
My favourite songs are 'Brave' and 'My Own Worst Enemy' both of which are beautiful, powerful ballads, sang amazingly. The copy I have also has the single version of 'Defying Gravity' which is great, and an added bonus. I'm not as keen on the song 'God Give Me Strength' which is also a UK bonus track, but even that is a very good song.
The lyrics really speak to me, and all of the songs are beautifully written and wonderfully sung by a Broadway star who is also a worthy recording artist. I hope she brings out more music in the UK!

Excellent collection. We were introduced to Idina Menzel through the show 'Wicked', her album is a credit to her and enjoyed by myslef (aged 41) and my daughter (aged 14).

The whole album really shows Idina's talent. I bought it solely because I love her in Wicked but she is so much more than one role! The emotions she manages to portray in all of her songs are really tear-provoking. There is a diversity of song-style; the upbeat and the slow ballad-esque. I would recommend this to all- even if somehow you managed not to like her in Wicked or Rent you will love her in this!

Surprisingly disappointing
Heard Idina interviewed on the radio and had heard some of her work in Wicked. Was really looking forward to listening to the CD but was disappointed with the track selection. Read more

Just beautiful!
I first discovered Idina through the musicals Wicked and Rent and completely fell in love with her, so I was obviously going to get my hands on a copy of her CD! Read more

Liked it but a little repetative.
If you like Idina's voice, then this album is a must. However, some of the songs do sound a little repetative. Read more

The Perfect Pop Album
Wow! What an album! Idina, well known for having leading roles in top musicals has a great voice. A Broadway voice, but occasionally sounding like Alanis Morisette. Read more
