Killer Mike got his formal introduction to the industry when he first appeared on the Outkast single "The Whole World" for which he won a Grammy. Mike then signed to Outkast's Aquemini label, which was distributed by Columbia Records, and in 2003 released his debut album, "Monster" which went Gold. After a short stay at Big Boi’s label, Purple Ribbon/Virgin, ... Read more in Amazon's Killer Mike Store

This is one of the best albums I heard of the year no doubt, and this is undeniably Mikes best product to date. The whole album goes incredibly hard, and with help from the likes of Ice Cube, Chamillionaire, 8Ball & MJG and Shawty Lo, it gets better with every listen. Dig in your pocket and get a real rap record in these bad times for the industry, because Mike deserves so much more props than he gets. Buy it, you will not be disappointed!

Getting Rich INDependently 1 Aug. 2008
By Enlightened - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Killer mike is undoubtedly one of the more outstanding rappers to emerge from the south this decade. From his early upbringing with Outkast and the dungeon family where he proclaimed he'd "catch the beat running like Randy Moss" to now Killer Mike has only gotten better with time. Known for his aggressive style with a very political and insightful side, Killer Mike is one of those rare breed of mc's who is able to effectively communicate with all the hip hop community whether it be the streets or the more casual fan. For those not in the loop, Killer's style is half ice cube half Bun B.

It pains me to see Killer Mike struggle in the record business because he is clearly one of the best rappers out today. Killer Mike's cd grossed a whopping 4000 copies in the first week! I couldn't believe that at all Blame it on very poor promotion, no video, no youtube, and no single but still he could have rode around in a hoopty and sold more copies than that straight out the trunk. But as always Killer Mike doesn't disappoint on this album. I Pledge Allegiance To The GRIND II (getting rich independently) is quite possibly his greatest achievement to date. Perfectly meshing social commentary with hard hitting southern culture and dirty south beats Killer Mike comes out on top. With legends like Ice Cube and Eightball & MJG making appearances, this album is completely fire. The songs that stand out the most to me are Can You Hear me, 2 Sides, God In The Building, Pressure, I Woke Up This Morning, If I Can't Eat Right, and Grandma's House but the rest of the album is fire as well. I highly recommend this Killer Mike album as the soundtrack to your success. Killer Kill from da Ville! Pick it up ASAP and support one of the more talented artists grinding in today's music industry.

Great CD! 8 July 2008
By Y. S. Campbell - Published on Amazon.com

This is a very good cd. Killer Mike is so underrated. If you want good rap music from an intelligent artist, please get this cd. It is worth the money and don't forget he is independent. We have to support good music. Now is the time.

The album is solid. Classic. A cd that you can listen to all the way through. Worth the money and the wait.

Motivational music, a classic 20 Nov. 2008
By IWC - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Best rap album of 2008. Killer Mike has always had tremendous energy; here he's absolutely unleashed. He's improved in almost every way since his early releases, and he was a charismatic, intelligent and skilled MC before. He's also picked some great tracks which cohere well despite the size of the production stable.

Picks include: "Can You Hear Me", "God In The Building", "I Gotcha", "Pressure", "2 Sides", "Big Money, Big Cars", the intro, and more. Yeah, that's a lot, but not because I'm easily impressed, this album is just that strong. This is brilliant, inspirational music. If you like rap, or think you might, buy this record.

Better Than the Last! 16 July 2008
By DC The Great - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This one was on that "Official CD" tip. Bang! was the hardest, Can You Hear Me was the most motivational. If you don't like his CD, there's always the "My Cars, Clothes, 26"'s, H*es" CD's out there. Plenty to choose from too. I would love to hear Mike and Pastor Troy put a good trunk banger out.
4.5, borderline 5 stars from Killer Mike, his best album 25 Sept. 2008
By G$ - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
It's been 2 years since his first installment of his "I Pledge Allegiance..." albums, and Killer Mike returns with his 3rd solo, and another solid album and one worth 4.5 stars, and one I"d say is borderline 5 star material. This is my favorite of the albums of his that I own, which my breakdown of those is as follows:
(3/03) -- "Monster" -- 4 stars
(2006) -- "I Pledge Allegience to the Grind" -- low 4 stars
(5/11) -- "Pl3dge" -- low 4 stars
(5/12) --- R.A.P. Music (haven't listened to yet)

Along with those he has also made a few others: his 2005 album that never got released, "Ghetto Extraordinaire" as well as his summer 2009 album, "Underground Atlanta" (which is more of a compilation of mostly Atlanta rappers, as Killer Mike is only on a few of the songs on that album.
Back to this album though, with 16 songs on here, 2 are ok, 2 are almost classic, the other 12 are good, most being real good songs. Guests are a little heavy, on 12 of the 16 songs, half they are rapping and the other half are just doing the hooks. Production is very nice as well. Young Sears and CKP each do 2 songs, Wonder Aillo, tha Bizness, Cutmaster Swift, the Cancer, Tyrice Jones, Chris Clark, XP, Smiff & Cash, B Don, Drugs, Tec beats and Malay all do 1 song. A very good album to have and will be one of the top 10% of albums that get released this year.
