A classic live action Disney movie, with a dog, a kid and an ordinary man put into an extraordinary situation and rising to the challenge. For Scott fans, great fun to see him looking so young. A good, if rather dated, family film.
(THE FILM)
An ordinary single father, who can't seem to hold a job due to his stress ulcers, and his son are exposed to gasses brought back from another planet by a NASA space probe. The gasses allow them to heal at incredible speeds, but they are susceptible to passing out in full darkness. The father is recruited to stop a madman who has stolen laser technology that is imperfect and liable to explode. Teamed with a beautiful agent, and with his son tagging along, can he prevent the destruction of most of California and it's northern suburbs??

Scott Bakula Pre-Quantum Leap Days it had been a pilot for a TV show that was never picked up.. Disney said it is too expensive for a series .Essentially, it's a feel good family show with a kick-butt sci-fi premise.. Kind of a Six Million Dollar Man....
it's one funny and cool movie that shows the range of Scott Bakula as an actor((I-Man)) is as good example of an 80's TV pilot it is as good as Knight Rider, Street Hawk, Gemini Man..
and as a pilot its makes it a one off..

Scott Bakula has had a career of over 25 years.. and this is his earliest role (according to IMDB anyhow). His style hasn't changed much in my opinion but considering is popularity and success, that's not a bad thing. This is a fun movie... not spectacular, but a great way to spend an hour and a half and a must for any Scott Bakula fans.
