Product Description

Eleven-year-old Jamie finds himself uprooted to a new home and a new school, where he is far from settled and frequently catches the attention of bullies. But Jamie understands the reasons for his dislocated lifestyle. His father, Charlie (Robert Carlyle - Trainspotting), whom he idolises and imitates, is involved in undercover activities that demand the continual shifting of identity and location. But as Charlie s behaviour becomes increasingly paranoid and unpredictable and the rapidly maturing Jamie comes to realise that the world his father inhabits is very different to the one that has flourished in his excited imagination.

Product Description

United Kingdom released, PAL/Region 2 DVD: LANGUAGES: English ( Dolby Digital Stereo ), WIDESCREEN (1.78:1), SPECIAL FEATURES: Interactive Menu, Scene Access, Trailer(s), SYNOPSIS: A man living in Wales with his young son starts behaving as if he is involved in some secret plot, perhaps criminal. He moves into a delapidated flat, keeps in regular contact with an important-seeming man called Mr Fisher, has minders apparently keeping him under protection, and lives in increasing fear of his life. The plot seems to be connected to a growing satellite TV company. His son discovers that he also has a gun.The father reveals that once the mysterious job is over, they will be paid £2 million and emigrate to America. However, when he goes to a bar to collect the money from Mr Fisher, he doesn't show up.The father becomes increasingly paranoid and dangerous (e.g. he burns out one of the satellite TV company's vans), and the son suspects that the plot may all be a figment of his imagination. The son goes to Mr Fisher's house, where Mr Fisher - merely a council official - tells him that his father had been a successful travel agent who went out of business when the satellite TV company forced his company out of its premises. The son persuades his father to go to the police, who have him sent to a psychiatric hospital; he died 12 years later. ...I Know You Know

5.0 out of 5 stars Pitch-perfect performance 12 July 2010
Format:DVD
Great to see such a cracking film based in Wales. Keeps you gripped right to the end. It is nothing like Justin Kerrigan's last film, the brilliant HUMAN TRAFFIC, which is now a bit of a cult classic. It is encouraging and wonderful to see a young director willing to risk the initial, blinding success of his first film and concentrated all his energy and effort on a second film that is such a diversion away from the clubbers' classic.

Robert Carlyle's best performance I've seen from him; the first-timer Aaron Fuller no doubt has a brilliant future in acting career for him if he keeps his head together. The two of them create an incredible chemistry that is not only convincing but heartrendingly sincere. It is a film made with heart, compassion, loving thoughts and a sense of mourning, for a time that is lost forever to the boy in the film, and perhaps to the director himself?

5.0 out of 5 stars Well Worth the Wait 1 Aug 2010
Format:DVD
Justin Kerrigan's Human Traffic made a great impression when it appeared in the late 1990s. His second feature, I Know You Know, took a while to be thought out and finally made. Read the video diary which accompanies this film to find out why. Initially rather puzzling, I Know You Know draws the viewer in and becomes increasingly moving. Robert Carlyle and young Arron Fuller make a great team in what might be called an autobiographical thriller which has great touches of both humour and sadness. Personally I can't wait for Justin Kerrigan's next film.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Know You Know 2 April 2013

Very different movie. I can't believe it is based on a true story. I have seen it a lot. It is a strange story and a sad one. It was interesting watching the son telling how he tried to get it made. And that he made sure his father got to outer space.
