Book Description

30 Mar 2009
'I Know Who You Are!' presents the concept that every person has a Character Skin which guides his behaviour and inspires his conversations. If you know a person's Character Skin, you can understand, respond and deal with him effectively. As Sultan prepares to move with his family into their new house, he finds a mystical leather diary which brings him into contact with his Grandfather, who had unexpectedly left the family five years ago. Grandfather teaches Sultan a novel way of looking at life. He unveils the secret of understanding people by introducing him to five Character Skins; Flipside, Sticklip, Headspin, Hammerhead and Scuff, which are unique in appearance, attitude and school of thought. Sultan gets passionate about his interactions with Grandfather and keeps them a secret from his family. He enjoys identifying people's Character Skins and predicting their behaviour. However, what he loves most is the fact that he can say, 'I know who you are!' to anyone he meets, at the very first sight.

Product Description

I Know Who You Are! is a profound book with transformational messages and secrets. If you only read one book this year, which you can share with your entire family and everyone at work make sure it is this one. The book has two genres, fiction and personal development, which makes it a really interesting read. It is a combination of fiction and non-fiction and has two main protagonists, Sultan (a twelve year old boy) and his grandfather. As Sultan s exploratory story develops, the concept of Character Skins is introduced. Personally I liked Chapter 30 when it said "Desiring something that you are not destined to attain is like trying to hold water in your palms... initially it appears that you have contained it well but the sight of the decreasing water level is disappointing. Eventually, the water escapes leaving your palms slightly wet; indicating a failed attempt of achieving the unachievable". Well done to Mariam and Fatima for unleashing this exciting book to the world we needed it! --Reg Athwal, TV Presenter, Speaker, Author and Chairman of OneTVO

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting concepts 9 April 2009
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. The concept of the character skins is interesting and by the time you've finished the book you're trying to define eveyone you know by them! The descriptions of the character skins are kept moving by the story that runs throughout. An entertaining book that I think both adults and children alike can enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome book! 3 Nov 2009

Read this book when it was released in April in Dubai.
The book is an interesting journey with a lot of insight into human behaviour and character types. It has thrill, emotion, drama, mystery and innocence. I was hooked to it till the end. Must read for all fiction lovers. I liked the way the plot is connected with all the characters and the main concept of character skins. I found the concept of character skins very unique, very innovative.
After reading the book I can identify people around me and more importantly understand my behaviour. Beautiful conversation between the characters and a touching bond between the grandfather and the boy. Very interesting flashbacks all along...I would love to see a movie made on this makes you smile, it makes you think and it makes you feel.I Know Who You Are..touching!
