5.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining take on a horror classic 5 July 2014

Format:Blu-ray|Verified Purchase
Not quite Mary Shelley, but highly entertaining all the same. A very different take on the original story but very enjoyable with good effects and a modern twist

4.0 out of 5 stars I,Marmite? 15 July 2014
Format:DVD
I.Marmite, youre either gonna love or hate this, well,i cant make my mind up,it virtually takes up from the Robert de Niros Frankenstein, and comes 200 yrs into the future.Hes wanted for his secret to eternal life by like vampire creatures and is looked after by gargoyles. There are some cracking martial art like fights, the vampire like creature are not called vampires but can only be killed by silver and Frankenstein, now called"Adam"has a pair of lung chucks and gives them what for.all done in "Underworld and Van Helsing"type of movie,a pleasing waste of time as watches go.4 stars for special effects, but,Aaron Eckhart in my opinion miscast as the monster.

2.0 out of 5 stars Really wouldn't bother 7 Jun 2014
Format:Blu-ray|Verified Purchase
Disappointing film, good cast, half way descent sfx, just no script worth reading. The cast seem bored even the normally excellent Bill Nighy has no energy in this.
if you must see it rent it

3.0 out of 5 stars mmm... 6 July 2014
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
Well, what's it all about? Computer generated action make it difficult to follow; a bit like that film Van Helsing - it's difficult to know who's doing what to whom (at times), plus the fight scene injuries sustained would in all probability kill you in real life...but then it isn't, is it? I'd probably only watch it a few times more.

3.0 out of 5 stars I, Frankenstein (DVD) 3 July 2014
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
To be honest I bought this because I couldn't find anything else remotely interesting that grabbed me. I suppose it's the summer lull or something. We watched this with mixed expectations and it turned out to be a pleasant enough evening's entertainment, but nothing special. Aaron Eckhart did the best he could.

2.0 out of 5 stars A Cursed Frankenstein 11 April 2014
By Timelord007 TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:DVD
MOVIE REVIEW ONLY.
Dvd Info.TBC
Region2.
Rated 12a.
Running time 92 minutes.

Trivia.
1)This uses the characters name of Adam not the monster or the creature given to him by author Mary Shelly in the original novel.
2)This was originally intended for release February 2013 then was moved to September 2013 to it's eventual release date of 24th January 2014.
3)Aaron Eckheart played Harvey( Two Face )Dent in The Dark Knight Batman movie.
4)Bill Nighy was Victor in Underworld.
5)Jai Courtney played Varro in Spartacus War Of The Dammed & Jack McClaine in A Good Day To DieHard.

Synopsis.
When Victor Frankenstein dies from being frozen to death the creature burys his creator & is then attacked by demons, Coming to his aid is a Gargoyle who befriends him & takes him to a Cathedral were the Gargoyles gather led by the Queen of the Gargoyles who keeps Victors journal & names the creature Adam & asks if he'll help fight alongside the Gargoyles against the sinister Prince Naberius who is the Demons leader but Adam refuses as he wishes to seek solace.

200 year's later Adam returns to modern society were he discovers that Naberius plans to create an army of souless corpses to be possessed by his army of demons but first Nabelius needs the journal of Adam's former creator Victor Frankenstein to raise his undead demon army.

Timelord Thoughts.
There is a good film trying to get out here & yet again this is another movie butchered by the studios who have no idea what to do with it or how to market it.

1.0 out of 5 stars More CGI infested American Nonsense! 19 Jun 2014
Format:DVD
I struggled to understand what this film had to do with the story of Frankenstein. It was full of CGI and the storyline was flimsy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't. Just don't.
Possibly the worst film I've ever seen. The acting makes News at Ten look like an action movie. Nearly any alternative you have available to you is a better choice of time spent.

Deeply disappointing. Couldn't even make it to the end. Predictable, dull and lacking in story. One giant cliche.
