This is a seriously good album from a lady with loads of vocal talent - this is going to be a global smash hit. Susan's performances are just sublime and the arrangements are perfect. 'Wild Horses' is simply wonderful, but there is much more. Susan has a great range, but her smoky, bluesy lower register comes to the fore here ('Cry Me River' is superb). 'How Great Thou Art' has a purity that Enya would be proud of. The joy goes on - there is not a duff track on this album. I predict it will go straight to No. 1 in the charts on both sides of the Atlantic and beyond. A MUST buy (and I really mean that!)

Well, I was one of the lucky few who managed to hear "Wild Horses" when it was posted to Youtube for 6 hours yesterday. For me, this hauntingly beautiful rendition is worth the album price on its own. Miss Boyle has without doubt the ability to master a number of eclectic musical genres. She doesn't merely perform - she lives her performances. There is something intangible about a musician who sings from the soul and who has worked extremely hard over many, many years to perfect a technique. This lady is gifted in the true sense of the word, not some here-today gone-tomorrow bimbo. The entertainment industry has enough of those already. All I can say to those prepared to score her low is, for goodness sake at least wait until you've heard a few tracks of her debut album.

Better perhaps to remain silent and appear a fool than to open one's mouth and prove it...

A song came on the radio while I was driving which I hadn't heard before and I also didn't recognise the singer's voice. As I was listening I was trying to work out who it could be and reckoned it might be Leona Lewis with a new release. I couldn't believe my ears when I discovered it was Susan Boyle singing 'Wild Horses'! - it was such a lovely song and the tone of Susan's voice was beautiful. I am looking forward to the release of her new album.
