Biography

The rise, fall, and rise again of The Darkness contains all the ingredients of a classic rock opera. The basics are a matter of public record: unfashionable good-time hard rock band from Lowestoft slog their way around the Camden pub circuit, build a word-of-mouth following that can fill theatres without a record deal, then rocket to world stardom selling over 3 million copies of their debut ... 5.0 out of 5 stars WOWMORE MORE MORE 22 Dec 2003
By J. Aitken VINE™ VOICE
Format:DVD Audio|Amazon Verified Purchase
I first heard this on TV watching the video and after hearing and seeing it a couple of times decided I must go out and buy this. I haven't heard anything as good as this in years. There is a terrific intro that grabs your attention straight away. Justin Hawkens vocals are out of this world and it reminds me of Freddie Mercury. On the DVD version He must be the first guy I've seen in bell bottoms since the 70's. Some great guitar soloing, this song is pure entertainment from start to finish. More More More please Darkness.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Darkness- Rock sensation 2 Oct 2003
Format:Audio CD
I believe in a thing called love is a cracking song, as are all of the songs on the Album. This Four piece rock band are currently conquering the United States with their energetic live performances headed by frontman Justin Hawkins. They have been gigging for years trying to make the big time and their Glam rock image coupled with new truly "rock" riffs and awesome guitar solos makes me wonder how they didn't make it earlier. May there next album, and all from here on in, be as good and as successful.
