muse create absolute hysteria, 4 Nov 2003
This review is from: Hysteria (Audio CD)
Those who bought the album, may have wondered which tracks were the ones that made it the number 1 album it was. There are so many , but, after many listens the strong tracks become clear, Hysteria is one of those tracks. It isn't the best Muse song ever, and does have a tendency to have similarities to some of the tracks from origin, but it is a track that deserves to be a single. Quite different from Time is running out, this track uses Matt Bellamy's raw vocals to accompany the outstanding guitar riffs and pure energy this song creates. If you haven't heard Hysteria yet, then you are missing out, them name of it really captures the essence of the track, the chorus willing you to sing along, wanting you to get involved. The entertainment doesn't stop there, the b-side is everything you should expect, a quality track in its own right. something that maybe should have been included on the album, but neverless, has the distinctive Muse sound that makes you want to listen to it over and over again. This single will captivate any listener, and force you to want to buy absolution, if you don't already own it. So go on, you have read the review now purchase the single. If your unsure of the risk take it anyway.

Amazing single & amazing B-Side, 26 Dec 2003
This review is from: Hysteria (Audio CD)
If you haven't bought Absolution, this single will show what you're missing. Hysteria, the single, is a powerful song by itself but the b-side is something you can't miss if you already bought Absolution. Eternally Missed show the great quality of this band, a track that would be great to have it included in Absolution but works great as a B-Side. MUSE ROCKS!!! BUY it NOW! [later, singles are hard to find]

Eternally Great, 15 Jun 2006
This review is from: Hysteria (Audio CD)
I bought this CD-Single on hearing that the B-Side steals the show, and I have to agree. It might be that I've heard Hysteria many a time, and that is by no means a bad thing! Hysteria is a hard song to beat lyrically, musically, and any other thing-ly there may be under the sun. But Eternally Missed is splendid, it starts in typical Muse fashion with a rather weird intro, a music-box being cranked up, and with the Whammy effect on guitar, the pitch is at the same as a music box would be. And the bass riff, oh the bass riff! Kicks Hysteria flying. The powerful chorus gradually builds up, and like Darkshines, solos appear after each chorus with the final one leading into the last chorus perfectly matched by Matt Bellamy's soaring vocals. If you bought this CD, you will NOT be disapointed!
