I have suffered from Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) for many years. Throughout that time I have experimented with different books, and diets etc. Recently, I have realised the importance of using a holistic approach to managing hypoglycemia, which includes diet and exercise, as well as working with your mind and having some fun along the way. This by far has been the most effective approach. I have only found this through trial, error and reading a lot of books!

Hypoglycemia for Dummies is BY FAR the best book in the field. It advocates the holistic approach described above, provides a high level overview of the science, and practical advice on dealing with Hypoglycemia. It is the first and only book I have found which deals with hypoglycemia in this way.

If you have read any of the other 'classic texts' you'll see they are often very severe (e.g. you must eat broccoli and nothing much else), or are very insufficiently detailed and patronising. Up till now I haven't been a Dummies fan, but this really is the best book on Hypoglycemia. If you suffer, get it today.

I found this book easy to read and explained any myths that I had on this illness. It made sense that if we tend to eat foods that have a lot of sugar in them then in turn this will send our blood sugars crashing and thus the symptoms of hypoglycemia. I was unsure of why I felt the way I did with the physical symptoms I had but this book made sense of it.

This book is great for teaching you what type of hypoglycemia you have and how you can control it.
In this country, it's really hard to get a doctor to listen to you and even when they are looking at your test results they still have little or even no advice on how to help.
Get this book and help yourself.
