The idea of Hypnobirthing is to have a safe,easier,more comfortable birth, and that is exactly what I had. I listened to the cd everyday for three months before giving birth,and had an amazing experience and can't wait to do it again. I can't lie and say it wasn't painful, but it was controllable, I was in labour for 4hrs,giving birth an hour after getting to hospital with some gas and air for pain relief. Definatley recommend it.

First childbirth experience not nice, lots of intervention and PND. So for second pregnancy this book came recommended by a friend. Pure gold!! The book with it's history, philosophy and exercises made me feel empowered when it came to birthing. Gave birth to a beautiful baby boy 10lb 9!!Didn't think I was in labour, but when got to hospital was 8cm dilated!! A fantastic birthing experience which still gives me a buzz when I remember it. Baby and mum both doing great. Recommend this to every pregnant lady out there.

If you are pregnant or considering having a baby then Hypnobirthing is a "must have". It teaches you that birth doesn't have to be full of fear and pain and that we, as women, were designed for that purpose.
Have you ever seen an animal, a cat for instance, give birth? how calm and peacful it all is? ever wondered why humans are the only species who SUFFER during labour? Then Hypnobirthing is the answer. We are conditioned, through years of negative stereotyping that birth is terribly painful - the result? it bloody well hurts! Hypnobirthing can help remove that fear leaving you to experience a calm, controlled and enjoyable birth.
I was so impressed after the birth of my son (without pain relief - no mean feat considering he weighed 11lbs and 3oz!) that I decided to train as a Hypnobirthing practitioner, surely that's proof enough of the pudding?
