First of all I must say I have upgraded from SSD (Kingston V+) so improvement is not massive (that was to be expected). Main reason for upgrade was capacity (old drive was only 96GB).

I did not run any synthetic benchmarks, I only checked Windows Experience Index before (6.8) and after upgrade (7.9 which I believe is maximum).
Real-life performance is excellent. Everything is snappy. It takes about 20s to load Windows 7x64 (its couple months old system with loads of programs). Installation of SAP system which usually takes hours took less than one hour on this drive.

I did not experience any BSODs yet (fingers crossed), as a precaution I have updated firmware straight away (it has been shipped with older release, figures...).

Bundle includes things like 2.5 inch drive USB (2.0 I believe) caddy , screwdriver (neat but rather cheap looking), 3.5 inch bracket and CD with cloning software (Acronis True Image HD).

Acronis software does its job.

Software for updating firmware does not recognize drives connected on USB so the only way to update it is to apply it on your system drive (owners of desktop PC probably will not have that problem when connecting drive on SATA).

Overall I think it's a good drive, probably best I have owned so far (I did have Crucial C300 which died after a month, I have had Crucial M4 which I was not impresed with and also I still have Kingston V+ drive). It is on a pricey side (I got it for around 300GBP) but all the competitors have similar (or higher price).

Obviously I can't say much about reliability of this drive (having owned it for just 2 days) but I will try to update you on that couple/few months down the road.

Got my SSD in just 1 day (5 stars to amazon for shipping).
Last night, i cloned the new Kingston HyperX 128 GB SATA III SSD, with my old Seagate 7200rpm 650GB and installed in my Dell XPS 15 Laptop.

I have to say, wow wow wow, HyperX stands up to the hype. Windows 7 boot time is improved, but still not near to my expectation. I have to blame the not-so-good cloning software that is in the package, however much much better than my previous boot time (From 2 minutes to 50 seconds - 1 year old installation). Applications are very fast. Avast antivirus is incredibly fast (Looks like it loves my new drive ;) ), used to scan at 10 to 20 MB / sec, now it is scanning at 200 to 250 MB / sec. Other memory intensive application like VS 2010, Photoshop etc are very fast.

Bench mark results:
Sequential Read : 261.186 MB/s
Sequential Write : 173.807 MB/s

Over all package is very impressive (One stop upgrade solution). I could able to complete the entire process in 1.5 hours.
15mins to open my laptop & fix the new drive.
60mins to clone.

To reap the full speed benefits of HyperX, go for a clean installation. In my case, my comps motherboard has SATA II interface, because of which i couldn't see the drive's full performance.

Very smart packaging! It oozes style from them the box and the drives is of high quality material. The external case comes with a usb cable for external use. It pretty much does what it says it's going to do which is to make your computer super fast as long as you put your Operating system on it. I have done just that. Bootup is superfast and all my programs and games that are on there shows incredible speed as well. My only niggle was that I installed Win 7 32bit on first and for some or other reason had to do a quick format on XP before I could load win7 64 bit on it. Otherwise it is a Superb Drive.

Well I live in Spain and the HyperX was delivered to me after 3 working days, like most of the products that have Super Saver Delivery, and get delivered by MRW, DHL, SEUR or any other express mailing company. But it might happen that Amazon.co.uk mails the package via Royal Mail. And in this world mail gets delivered in a week or more, be it royal or republican.

Now about the HyperX.
I've been using it as my operating system drive,Windows 7 64bits since September 21, SATA 3 via the Marvell 9128 chip on a Gigabyte P55A-UD5 motherboard(so not a new MB) with the driver version 1.2.0.1006
I've been testing the drive on both Marvell(6Gbit/s) and Intel(3 Gbit/s) chips, with PCIe 16x and PCIe 8x, using various drive testing and benchmarking software and I found this using ATTO disk benchmark for example:
- on PCIe 8x (PCI Express 1.0, Intel controller) the transfer rates are LIMITED to about 200MB/s for reads and about 130MB/s for writes
- on PCIe 16x(PCI Express 2.0, Marvell controller) I got spikes of 600 MB/s read(queue depth of 10,on a 4MB and 8MB file size) and the writes transfer rate is LIMITED to 250 MB/s but never gets there.
- on day to day usage you will probably get transfer rates of 350-400MB/s read and anything from 250MB/s downwards
But if you have a newer motherboard with a chipset that natively supports 6Gbps SATA then you will probably get maximum transfer rate from your HyperX.
So the short version is : Good SSD, recommended.

January 2012 update: So far I've experienced 4 BSODs(Blue Screen Of Death) since installing it but I dont know for sure if they were caused by the SSD overloading or the video card overloading(as it produced BSODs before) or too much strain on the CPU.
