This easy-to-read Stevenson-Reeves triple scale hydrometer is 23 cm long and has 3 scales for measurement: Specific gravity - with a range of 0.98 to 1.12 at 20?C, Sugar scale - with a range of 0 to 270 grams per litre and Potential alcohol scale for wines only of 5 to 17%. Coloured bands indicate where to start and finish wines and beers and there is an indication for sweet/medium/dry finished wines. The hydrometer comes packed in a strong clear plastic tube along with an instruction leaflet. This kit contains: Hydrometer (Stevenson -Reeves S1011), Glass Trial Jar with lip (232mm x 34mm) and Instructions

Excellent service from Big Jugs - hydrometer does what it's supposed to do, not a lot more you can say!
This hydrometer and trial glass are of good quality and do the job nicely.
They arrived quickly and were very well packaged.
The trial glass is quite delicate and I always put the hydrometer and the glass back into the original packing thus preventing damage.
As I said good quality and with care should last a long time.

Very good product and certainly worth having. I am quite new to home wine making, but enjoying it. I continue to learn and this is helping me very much along the way. Good value and highly recommended.
