This is a beautiful book. It's lovely to flick through and see other people's bolt-holes. The properties each have their own character and lots of it - it's perfect for these long winter days when we're dreaming of our summer holidays. Perfect to give as a gift.

I was disappointed in this book. Wouldn't have bought it if I'd seen it in a shop. The pictures are very "arty", but I was looking for ideas of hut designs. Most of the pictures are of interiors and close ups of features.

An Airstream Trailer, a cabin in the woods, a treehouse, a beach hut, an old barge, and a strawbail house. Just some of the example hideaways in this book. Good photography and inspiration, but a bit thin on substance.

I loved this book. It was purchased on a whim and each page and detail took me away to another place, time and lifestyle. I loved the division of the book into elements of Air, Wind, Earth and Fire. It is a first quality publication.
It will be revisited many times and has provided inspiration to create my own hideaway - well away from the known and beaten path.
