This machine is wonderful to use- good range of speed control and the ability to adjust the speed ranges of the foot pedal by the speed control placed handily on the front of the machine is brilliant. automatic threader is v helpful. the instructions are clear. Would recommend it to anyone who doesn't want a computerised machine but a really good electric machine instead. Stitch chart is helpful. Presser foot pressure adjustment for different fabrics is also very helpful. The reverse stitching lever for finishing is handily placed and the thread cutter is also extremely helpful. Was updating from a 1950's singer machine and couldn't believe the difference. Haven't tried buttonholes yet, but I have no reason to think they will be difficult on this machine. Comes with a wide range of attachments. Also comes with a hard storage cover, which the carry handle of the machine is exposed at the top, meaning it can be moved around with the hard cover in place. Free arm sewing is available by sliding of the bed that doubles as a handy little storage compartment. A well thought out machine, that appears to be more robust than some of the modern alternatives. It's nice to know that with this machine, setting it up to sew is fairly straight forward and need not take half your sewing time!!!!!!. The instructions are also clear. Comes with guarantee and extended warranty available on it too. Added bonus is that it fits the hard storage case when threaded up. For anyone used to old machines this one is self lubricating too so no need to look around for lubrication points etc. A REALLY GOOD AND ERGONOMIC MACHINE.

Highly recommended. I wanted something for everyday use and to more complex sewing such as curtains and dressmaking. No disappointed. I love this machine. My first new one for 10 years and I am thrilled with it.

having had problems with my previous Brother that just kept knotting-up the threads, I went online to ask of other peoples' recommendations. This was recommended by a couple of people. easy to use & not let me down yet, even on heavy fabrics.

My first Husqvarna Viking brought nearly 40 years ago has been brilliant, and only failed on me about 8 years ago. I have bought two other makes since then, both were disappointing and broke. Now I am delighted with my second Husqvarna Viking. It feels like I've been driving a van and have gone back to a Rolls Royce!

This machine is excellent it free motion quilts and straight quilting is very good. It pieces well and is great for dressmaking. The speed control, needle down button and ability to move the needle is excellent. I bought a universal darning foot for free motion quilting.
