Firstly, Hurghada Property is obviously not the 383rd book about buying a property in Spain. Instead it is, to my knowledge, the first book about buying a property in Egypt. So if you do want to buy a book on Egyptian property, you're pretty much stuck with this one for the time being.
Secondly, whereas most books on overseas property are very general - covering different parts of the country in a few paragraphs and never mentioning individual developments by name, this book is very specific. So specific that it only covers one small part of Egypt - the small part that I believe has the most potential both for the investor and for anyone looking for a second home just for themselves (the other main Egyptian hotspot of Sharm el-Sheikh has less potential as it is not possible for foreigners to buy freehold property).
Hurghada Property is a true Buyer's Guide, which compares over 30 of the highest profile developments side-by-side giving out prices so that potential buyers can easily find which, out of all of the options, is right for their own circumstances. Don't be put off by the fact that the book is just over 100 pages long - I have deliberately left out all of the general information that most books include. I am sure that you are already aware of the fact that the Ancient Egyptians built the pyramids and don't need me to tell you all over again. You probably also don't need to know what Egyptians eat for breakfast, or the number of shortwave radio stations in the country either. So you just get 100 lean and mean pages telling you all you need to know in order to ensure that you find the property that is exactly right for you at the best possible price.
The final factor that makes this book different is the way it is written. I believe that reading a book - no matter if it's fiction or non-fiction - should be entertaining and it should be easy enough to understand even for someone who has had no previous experience of buying a property - either at home or abroad. It doesn't make the facts any less factual if they're introduced in a style unlike that of the world's dullest university lecturer. I can't promise that you will split your sides with hysterical laughter, but I don't think you'll fall asleep from boredom while reading it either.
So this is a quick summary of what you can expect from Hurghada Property and Egypt's Red Sea Riviera Real Estate. I hope that it achieves what I wrote it to do - and that's to help you make a truly informed buying decision.
