Product Description

Product Description

Eight years ago, the Austrian emergency services were called to the scene of a bizarre car accident. Eight years ago, two mangled bodies were found in the snow not far from the vehicle, clawed and chewed, it seemed, by some ferocious animal. Eight years ago, something unspeakable took Gerontius Moore's parents from him, leaving him orphaned and alone...And now, that something, is back. Caught up in a hunt he was never meant to be a part of, and finding help from a most unlikely source, Gerontius must once more flee the clutches of an appalling beast, before it learns its business is unfinished. Full moon or not, the hunt is on.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing! Worth reading!, 3 Oct 2007

This book is a great read!

By the second chapter I was hooked. The storyline moves quickly
and you get to understand the characters feeings and personalitys
pretty fast. The ending in particular is a work of art, I Did not
expect it! and it left my jaw hanging open. Not to much blood but
enough to make it a grusome book. I give it 5 stars it is a great
book for teeagers and well worth a read.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great example of how books should be written, 24 Dec 2007
By Ste (England) - See all my reviews
To sum the book up - Fantastic. The pace of this book is lightning and makes you want to keep reading. The style it is in is also interesting. Carter continually switches viewpoints between the good and bad characters which gives you an insight from all angles. I think more authors should try and write like this instead of focusing on swamping us with boring, un-needed description. I dont like the way people call him the next Stephen King (I hate the way the media do this to people who write any sort of horror)as he is nothing similar to King at all and it is very misleading. Carter is what he is . .. a great storyteller. Buy this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awsome!, 14 Dec 2007
By Mr. Dean A. Marks (Buckinghamshire, U.K) - See all my reviews

This is without a doubt one of the best and most original werewolf novels I have read for a long time. Dont be put off by the fact that it is classed as a teenagers book because there are some frightening and gory moments in this story. The character development is fairly good and the book moves along at a fast pace which makes it difficult to put down. Not to mention the brilliant twist at the end of the book which took me completely by suprise. I just hope the author, Mr Carter, writes a sequel or even a prequel to this book because it is brilliant and I will definitely re-read it at some point in the future.
