Product Description
Priority One: Alpha Base. The Prometheus has dropped out of orbit. Communication and life support systems are down. Situation Critical: Status of Crew and Prisoner unknown. A group of intergalactic commandos crash-land on a desolate and hostile planet while transporting a deadly alien prisoner who escapes and goes on the run. The commandos report in to their home base to seek assistance but are told they must track down and recapture their Alien alive, at all costs. The surviving commandos play a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse with their former prisoner who is smart and not easily outwitted. But as the commandos are picked off one-by-one and the odds begin to turn, who is the real hunter and who is the real prey? With a clear nod to the original Star Wars trilogy, Hunter Prey is classic sci-fi that will delight fans with its painstaking recreation of an alien world where danger, conflict and deceit abound.

Format:DVD
This is a fantastic film and shows what can be done with the resources you have, for once the cover blurb is right - this does remind of star wars - scaled down of course, but shows imagination and vision of the director and production team.
Where a lot of hollywood blockbusters are lately underwhelming, this does wonders in reaffirming your faith in the genre and I for one will be purchasing this for my collection ( have rented but its that good, that I want to have it )
A+ to all involved and keep an eye on this director !!!!

Format:DVD
The first thing you'll notice when you boot up this DVD is how beautiful the picture looks. You find out in the extras that they filmed it with a digital camera and it shows. This is a low budget feature filmed in Mexico but you can tell they put a lot of love into it. Don't expect big explosions and special FX just sit back and enjoy the film. The actors do a good job and move the story along at a slow but even pace. Thankfully they don't keep their helmets on for the whole film since their voices can get a little muffled. There is some dialog that falls flat and a lack of character development. The ending will also leave you with unanswered questions like there could possibly be another film. Overall I enjoyed the film and I look forward to what they do in the future.

Produced, paid for and developed and directed by Sci-Fi fans, this is worth watching although the budget was relatively low. The comparison to Star Wars is a bit rich and the story nothing like it but its quite good.
A desert planet (not Tatooine) is the location where three soldier, android like (at first) individuals are escorting and alien back to their planet. As the story progresses, he is the sole survivor of his race killed by the others.
It's a simple uncomplicated story but if you like Sci-Fi, bounty hunters and people that really do believe in what theyre producing you'll enjoy this. The bonus features are also good as it gives you an insight as to why and how the film was made, unlike a Hollywood production.

This gets better the longer you watch
